This course is based on The Mayo Clinic Guide to Stress Free Living book by Amit Sood, MD., MSc. Participants are strongly encouraged to purchase this book or audio book so they can follow along with the recommended readings outlined in the course sessions. The content of this module addresses two aspects of human experience – attention and interpretation. We will first learn about the "wandering mind" and "focused mind"; and, then will explore 5 principles that can empower you to reduce the negative impact of stress in your life. In doing so, we will provide you with strategies to help you become more relaxed, present, joyful, and resilient in the face of difficult circumstances.
