Obstructive sleep apnea is a common weight-related co-morbidity. Not only can having excess weight put you at greater risk of developing this condition, but having untreated sleep apnea can increase the likelihood of weight gain/difficulty losing weight, among other health consequences. In this session, we will explore what sleep apnea is as a condition, how it is diagnosed, and why it is important to proactively treat it.
This group is devoted to discussing which commonly prescribed medications may have unwanted sexual side effects. We hope to empower you to discuss these side effects with your doctors and we will introduce you to some of the pharmacological and nonpharmacological strategies used to help address these sexual dysfunctions. The human sexual response cycle will be explored as a tool to help you optimize your sexual functioning and lead to more rewarding sexual experiences, regardless of which medications you are on. All genders welcome.

We experience thousands of thoughts a day, many of which are automatic and can escape our notice. Nevertheless, the way we think in various situations can have a great impact on our decision making and behaviours. In this session, we revisit the concept of cognitive restructuring to help address the internal barrier of permission thoughts. These thoughts tend to be in the moment, persuasive, and often misleading. Throughout the session you will be given an opportunity to apply the tool of cognitive restructuring to common situations that can elicit permission thoughts, so you can better navigate this type of thinking going forward.
