Too often, life can get increasingly busy and we spend more time caught up in our heads than being present in the moment. Not only does this add to our stress and decrease our energy, but it also deprives us of the joy of being present in our lives. In this session, we will talk about the concepts of joyful and kind attention as a way to decrease our stress, better manage distractions, and enhance our quality of life.
Mental health plays a significant role in obesity management. We will talk about the relationship between mental health and obesity. We will also talk about the definition of anxiety, the differences between everyday anxiety and anxiety disorder, different types of anxiety disorders including panic attack disorder, generalized anxiety disorder, social anxiety disorder, and post traumatic stress disorder. 3 c's of anxiety recovery will be introduced: calm your body, correct your thinking, and confront your fears.
