Description:

As a macronutrient, protein is a powerhouse! It serves numerous critical functions in our body and plays an important role in maintaining our overall health. In this session, we will explore the benefits of protein and discuss the importance of prioritizing an adequate protein intake, especially when creating a calorie deficit for weight loss. Whether it be maintaining our satiety, helping stabilize our blood sugars, or protecting our lean muscle tissue, this macronutrient is an incredibly valuable fuel source. Strategies for using cost-effective protein sources and ideas for incorporating more protein into your diet will be discussed.

Description:

This module will be facilitated by Certified Food Addiction Counselor, Sandra Elia who will deliver interactive presentations virtually from Ontario.

Food Addiction Recovery Program Overview

This program will give you the gift of Food Serenity. Food Serenity is returning to a place where food is consumed for nourishment, energy and caring for your body. No longer using food to achieve a feeling, (numbing out, love, stress relief, “getting high”) but rather using food for its rightful purpose.
