Our mind tends to be gifted at detecting or anticipating things that may or have gone wrong. This threat detector can serve as a protective mechanism, but if unchecked, it can also cause us to develop tunnel vision and filter out the positive aspects of our lives. In this session, we will explore the power of gratitude in broadening your perspective, increasing your motivation, and enhancing your joy.
This session will be facilitated by our internist, Dr. Jeff Kerrie. According to the World Health Organization, cardiovascular diseases take the lives of approx. 17.7 million people each year. Fortunately, there are many modifiable risk factors that can help reduce the risk and progression of these diseases. In this session we will discuss the physiology of the heart, explain how coronary artery disease develops, and review treatment options for this condition as well as ways to prevent its onset.
